What to Bring
Depending on the time of year you come, Nov. thru April you should bring a few warm clothes and if you like to dive or snorkel a light wet suit is recommend.  May thru Oct. is much warmer and the water is to, very light clothes is recommend. Most people over pack.  Please no hard luggage pack your items in a canvas bag or duffel bag. Pack light! This is a very casual ship and 90% of the time you will be in you're bathing suit or shorts and T-shirts enjoying the out islands of the Bahamas. You may want to bring one set of “going out” clothes for a night out on the town. But again, the islands are very casual.
A long sleeve rash guard is great it protects you from UV rays and cools you out of the water. It is also great in the water protects you if you get a little chilly, if there are any jellyfish around, and the water sometime makes the sun more intense while you snorkel. If you are looking for more specific sailing gear try West Marines search, and you get 10% off your purchase for anything over $100.00. 10% off orders $100; use code AFFWEST West Marine prices are steep on most things, however there sales can be really good, and if you have any problem with there products they have a great return policy. This definitely makes up for the extra price you pay. We all know how hard the marine life is on equipment, my water pump broke three times each time they returned it with a brand new one try that any where else.
  • Passport
  • Wide brimmed hat for sun protection. It is helpful if it ties around your chin to stay on while sailing.
  • Suntan lotion – The sun is intense, so get something with high protection. You don’t want to burn and be uncomfortable!  Insect repellent!  Mostly in the summer months.
DO NOT BRING SPRAY SUNTAN LOTION! You will NOT be allowed to use it on board.
  • Handy Wipes, Baby Wipes to keep clean.
  • Sunglasses (Polarized)
  • Long sleeved Rash guard very good for sun protection while in the water and white cotton shirt for sun protection out of the water.
  • Beach walking shoes Teva's, or flip-flops - some type of walking shoe that doesn't matter if they get wet.
  • Beach towel
  • Swim suits surf like shorts / bikini
  • Shorts & T-shirts
  • November-March: Bring hooded sweatshirt or light jacket and some long sleeve shirts and pants.
  • Toiletry Items – toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, lotion, etc.
